Northern Italy is positioning itself as an essential destination for those in the furniture supply chain this June as two major shows embark on a major synergy that sees them take place in quick succession.
The Fiera di Bergamo will host interzum forum italy, which is an essential event dedicated to professionals in the wood-furniture supply chain, from 4 to 5 June. Then, just a few days later, from 9 to 12 June, Milan-Rho will host Xylexpo, a long-standing exhibition dedicated to wood-processing technologies.
The close proximity of the two shows makes Milan and Bergamo a must-visit destination for professionals who work in or with the furniture supply industry – it is designed to create the unique opportunity for professionals to take full advantage of a concentrated and complete market overview in just a few days, gaining insight into both finished solutions and production technologies.
Thomas Rosolia, CEO of interzum forum italy organiser Koelnmesse Italia, said: “The synergy between these two events offers the sector a unique opportunity to delve into trends, meet key market players, and accelerate the development of new ideas.
“For interzum forum Italy visitors in particular, this close timing with Xylexpo is an added value: those arriving in Bergamo to discover materials, components, and design solutions can continue their journey in Milan, entering the heart of production technologies. A continuity designed to expand knowledge, optimise travel, and offer a complete and coherent professional experience.”
The 2026 edition of interzum forum italy will be its second-ever hosting as it aims to continue to build itself as an international trade fair.
Its last edition attracted 4,820 visitors from 52 countries (20 per cent from abroad) and 216 exhibitors from 24 countries (36 per cent international participation), with the two halls of the Bergamo exhibition centre filled with meetings, networking, and the exchange of ideas focused on innovation.
Among the top visiting countries, in addition to Italy, were Germany, Poland, Spain, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Serbia, Turkey, and Switzerland.
