ACSI to continue free campiste inspection programme in 2026

Camping booking platform ACSI has launched its annual campaign to carry out 10,000 free in‑person campsite inspections for the 2026 season.

While the program is aimed at European campgrounds, its implications resonate far beyond traditional camping, touching RV parks, mobile‑home resorts, and mixed‑use outdoor hospitality developments seeking stronger consumer trust and higher occupancy.

More than 400 trained inspectors will evaluate each participating property using a checklist of over 250 criteria—covering amenities, infrastructure, operational quality, and guest‑experience factors. This will offer mobile home park and campsite owners verified, third-party validation and operational transparency that is likely to help with future bookings.

One of the most strategic elements of ACSI’s model is that the inspection is free of charge for participating operators. Once verified, properties gain access to ACSI’s high‑traffic distribution channels, including: Eurocampings.eu, CampingCard.com, ACSI’s printed green guides, and ACSI’s mobile apps.

Collectively, these platforms attract over 17 million annual visitors, along with hundreds of thousands of guide and app sales. For operators—especially those targeting European travellers—this represents a powerful, zero‑cost marketing pipeline.

Operators not yet in the ACSI network can request an inspection through the ACSI Campsite Portal. Applications submitted before May 1 will be considered for the 2026 season; later submissions roll into the following year.
