French luxury cabin producer Lumipod reveals new website

Premium modular cabin producer Lumipod has revealed a brand-new website that will help it better showcase its precision manufacturing, unique designs, and made-in-France ethos.

The website showcases the latest cabins and saunas on offer from the luxury brand, as well as featuring a section for industry professionals, a listing section for all of its recent projects, and a page explaining the craftsmanship that goes into every outdoor hospitality accommodation unit it produces.

Lumipod was born out of a company called Lumicene, which was founded in 2003 by designer and engineer Laurent Salvaire. This company created and patented a curved and reversible window system known as the Lumicene Window, which gave birth to the idea of an open-air tourism cabin that utilised this design innovation.

Lumipod cabins are single-cell habitat constructions that are designed around this curved window. The company produces three versions: the 18 square metre Lumipod 5, the 26 square metre Lumipod 6, and the 43 square metre Lumipod 8 – each of which is manufactured in the company’s Lyon workshop.

“Because excellence tolerates no compromise, we chose to master every stage of the process – from design to manufacturing to installation,” said Lumipod Co-Founder Clement Salvaire. “We commit to ensuring a level of quality that meets the most demanding standards of five-star hospitality.”

As well as being striking in terms of design, Lumipod cabins are also made as sustainably as possible, using sustainably-sourced timber, natural-fibre insulation, high-performance glazing, smart reversible climate control, and rainwater recovery systems.
