New outdoor hospitality hotel brand to be launched in France

A new outdoor hospitality hotel brand to be known as BonjourSauvage is launching in France with the aim of offering stays that are rooted in a more simplistic way of life and disconnecting from the hyper-urbanised modern world.

The creators of BonjourSauvage say that the hotels of tomorrow should no longer measure luxury by numbers of stars, gadgets, or square metres – its new hybrid and socially conscious hotel brand will provide hospitality that is ‘part boutique hotel, part natural retreat’, with each site designed as a living ecosystem.

The project is being led by outdoor hospitality expert David Letellier and specialist in acquisitions and business development Alexis Baquerin. David was behind pioneering alternative hospitality brand Slow Village, while Alexis has strong experience in the sector, most notably at Siblu Villages.

A key part of BonjourSauvage’s business plan is to be as sustainable as possible, which is why it will be transforming former campsites for its first projects – set to open in Spring 2026 – instead of breaking ground on new locations.

These first two locations will be Interplages campsite in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Domaine des 2 Etangs in Seignosse – the projects are expected to take around six months for the refurbishment work to be completed and will offer four-star comfort, year-round opening, modular communal areas, and rewilded natural spaces.

The brand has already announced that it plans to open two to three sites per year. Beyond the Atlantic coast, the Mediterranean region is also being considered for year-round operation. According to Alexis Baquerin, Managing Director of BonjourSauvage: “We are aiming for around fifteen establishments by 2030.”
