FDHPA hosts successful general assembly in Royan

French outdoor tourism organisation the Fédération Départementale de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air de Charente-Maritime (FDHPA) recently held its annual general meeting at the Palais Royan Evenements in Royan.

The FDHPA, which has around 250 members, usually hosts the meeting in Rochefort, but has taken the decision to host it in different parts of the Charente-Maritime region each year, with this latest edition on 24 February in Royan being the first to be hosted in a different place.

Around 85 different establishments were represented at the meeting during which the FDHPA presented its major actions over the past year, the provisional budget, new developments, and the 2026 action plan.

Among this year’s key actions is the establishment of a regulatory commission aimed at supporting member campsites through a personalised audit to help them prepare for a safety commission visit.

The Federation also announced plans to move to a new headquarters within the next two years to a more accessible building that will offer a large meeting room, more spacious offices and storage areas, as well as dedicated parking spaces. The FDHPA said it wanted to make the new headquarters a ‘home from home’ for members.

The meeting also saw the official confirmation of dates for the Salon Atlantica trade show, which is organised by the FDHPA. The 2026 event will take place from 6 to 8 October in its usual location of Niort.

The FDHPA’s Salon Atlantica Committee took the opportunity to launch an appeal for volunteers and express its desire to work together with partner federations by including them in a dedicated steering committee.
