Mobile home industry to have strong presence at Caravan Salon

Mobile homes and tiny houses will once again have a presence at one of the outdoor leisure industry’s biggest events this summer.

Caravan Salon takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 28 August to 6 September this year, and will once again feature a special outdoor area for producers of open-air tourism accommodation to showcase their latest products and innovations.

Outdoor accommodation exhibitors taking to the show floor in Düsseldorf this year include Arts Tiny House from Turkey, Baltic Promo from Lithuania, Emati from Bulgaria, KOBA Living from Germany, Scandinavic Living from Germany, and Solido Wood House from Romania.

The number of mobile home companies utilising the excellent platform that Caravan Salon provides has been growing in recent years, becoming an essential meeting place to gauge the trends of the open-air tourism industry at large.

Caravan Salon’s organisers, Messe Düsseldorf, say that the mobile home sector of its event shows how agile the outdoor tourism industry really is.

“Trends and tendencies that are only just beginning to emerge in other areas or are only implemented with difficulty and faltering, can sometimes be realised more easily in the mobile living sector,” they said. “The ever-improving options for insulating small mobile homes are reducing energy consumption, making the residential units quieter and therefore even more comfortable.

“Living should become increasingly sustainable and energy-efficient. Building in wood is currently a trend in mobile homes, and the materials used are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Energy efficiency is also playing an increasingly important role. Complete self-sufficiency is still a problem for larger properties; this can easily be achieved with mobile homes. Even caravans have long been able to cover their own electricity requirements using intelligent photovoltaic technologies. Mobile home manufacturers are now also installing smart home technologies – this promises even more comfort and sustainability.”

The Mobile Home Business team will be on hand at the show to report on any new and interesting product launches, as we did in 2025 with a professional video report (see below).
