The Netherlands-based outdoor hospitality and tourism show Recreatie Vakbeurs has raised more than €5,000 for Villa Pardoes, a charity that is dedicated to providing free holidays for families with seriously ill children.
The Recreatie Vakbeurs team visited the Villa Pardoes headquarters in Kaatsheuvel at the end of 2025 to personally deliver the cheque – the money for which was raised by visitors and exhibitors during the 2025 edition of the trade show.
“We are extremely grateful for the commitment and support from the Recreation Trade Fair, its visitors and exhibitors,” said Chantal Frijters, Fundraiser at Villa Pardoes.
“This donation makes a direct difference to the families who stay with us and contributes to creating valuable memories.”
Villa Pardoes is a holiday home at the Efteling theme park for families with a seriously ill child. Here, they can enjoy a carefree, free holiday together in a fairytale setting next to the Efteling theme park.
For the 2026 edition of Recreatie Vakbeurs, which takes place in Evenementenhal Hardenberg in the Netherlands from 17 to 19 November, several charities have already registered to become the event’s official charity partner. Show organisers say that the chosen charity will be announced in the coming months.
Recratie Vakbeurs enjoyed a record attendance of more than 9,000 visitors when it took place in November 2025, and hopes to build on that attendance this year in what will be its 24th edition.
