Record number of visitors at 2025 edition of Recreatie Vakbeurs

The 2025 edition of Dutch show Recreatie Vakbeurs attracted a record attendance of more than 9,000 visitors when it took place in Hardenberg, the Netherlands, from 11 to 13 November.

The boost in attendance was largely driven by an increase in interest from overseas attendees, according to the show organisers.

It was the 23rd occurrence of the exhibition, which specialises in the outdoor hospitality and tourism industries, and featured more than 365 exhibitors within its halls.

A study by the organisers of the event also revealed that visitors gave it an average rating of 8.5 out of 10 and called it ‘the most comprehensive trade fair for the recreation industry in Europe.’

Several new features were introduced at Recreatie Vakbeurs for 2025, including an indoor innovation playground, a special Deutschland Live area, and an area with live cooking by chefs.

“We are extremely proud of the success of this edition,’ said Commercial Manager for Recreatie Vakbeurs, Jeffry Plaggenmarsch. “The combination of growth, high-quality exhibitors, high-calibre visitors and extensive knowledge programmes makes the Recreation Trade Fair more relevant than ever for every recreation entrepreneur.”

The dates for next year’s event have already been confirmed as 17 to 19 November at the same venue, with organisers claiming that hundreds of exhibitors have already reserved their exhibition space for 2026.
