Unique mirror houses from ÖÖD make debut in Southern Europe

ÖÖD, a producer of unique mirrored houses for open-air tourism, has announced its expansion into Southern Europe for the first time after delivering two of its signature products to Italian boutique retreat Spino Fiorito.

The company, which is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, is providing two of its Signature Mirror House models to the Tuscany-based tourism destination this month in a move that it says combines Nordic minimalist design with timeless Italian charm.

Made from a full steel frame and featuring eye-catching industrial mirror glass facades, ÖÖD’s tiny houses provide a unique way to stay in a beautiful location that offers great views from the inside, but total privacy from outside, as well as blending into the natural surroundings.

They feature bathroom fixtures, a kitchenette, wardrobe, cosy double bed, small table and chair set, and impressive year-round climate control thanks to the mirrored glass that reflects 97 per cent of UV rays in warm weather but retains great heat insulation in colder weather. The houses also benefit from underfloor heating.

“It has always been our dream to bring ÖÖD to Southern Europe, and Tuscany is the perfect place to begin,” said Andreas Tiik , CEO and Co-Founder of ÖÖD (pictured above).

“At Spino Fiorito, our Mirror Houses don’t just stand in nature; they become part of it. The reflections of the trees, the mountains, and the ancient land create a space that feels both modern and deeply rooted in local tradition.”

One of the Mirror Houses delivered to Spino Fiorito has been perched above the landscape on wooden struts, complete with a mirror-finished sauna suspended almost five metres high. The design of both houses is fully reversible, ensuring the land remains untouched for future generations.

Spino Fiorito Owner, Davide, said: “We wanted to offer something truly special: a way for guests to feel at home and fully immersed in the scents, colours, and sounds of Tuscany. ÖÖD allows us to blend our family’s story and local traditions with a new, sustainable kind of hospitality.”

ÖÖD hopes that this debut for its products in Southern Europe is the beginning of a new wave of expansion for the fast-growing company.
