The Spanish region of Andalusia reported its second-best year ever in terms of overnight stays on campsites in 2025, according to data from the Andalusian Camping Federation (FAC) and the Spanish National Institute of Statistics.
The region recorded 6,416,258 overnight stays on campsites last year, which has only been bettered once by the 6,673,454 overnight stays in 2024. While this is a slight year-on-year decrease of almost 4 per cent, it still shows great promise for the outdoor hospitality industry.
Of the almost six-and-a-half million overnight stays, 59 per cent were by Spanish campers, and 41 per cent were by overseas tourists.
The total number of visitors recorded in Andalusia on campsites was 1,537,556 – 66 per cent of those were Spanish and 34 per cent were foreign. FAC says the difference in the percentages is down to the fact that international visitors stay for longer, especially between October and March.

The FAC also reported that the length of stay by a camping customer has slightly decreased in 2025, with 4.17 nights being the average, which is something it says could become a worrying trend due to the increased workload and spend that outdoor hospitality providers need to do for check-ins and check-outs.
In general, the FAC says that 2025 can be considered a good year for outdoor hospitality in Andalusia, with the region playing an important part in the growing interest in camping in Spain from both domestic and international holidaymakers.
