Land Leisure and Tourism Show enjoys successful edition in UK

The 2025 edition of the UK’s Land Leisure and Tourism Show enjoyed a successful event when it took place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from 5 to 6 November.

The show, which is a gathering for holiday parks, family attractions, resorts, farm businesses, and the wider hospitality and tourism sector, hosted more than 250 exhibitors and also ran an extensive programme of seminars, workshops, and panel discussions.

Product categories covered by exhibitors at the show included hospitality solutions, tourism promotion and management, leisure facilities and entertainment, outdoor living, travel and technology services, and accommodation and lodging, featuring leading British brands such as Your Retreats, Pemberton Park and Leisure Homes, and the Omar Group.

Geoffrey Smith, CEO of Medow Bay Villages, officially opened the show and said in a keynote speech: “We are all here to look at examples of innovation today. I believe if you can make the park compelling, an experience that feels like an escape, then why wouldn’t people keep coming back?

“Where are our customers from? What do they expect when they arrive? Make people feel welcome, cook food that tastes great, and give people opportunities to spend time together.

“If it adds value to the customer experience, you do it. If it doesn’t, you cut it. It’s all about the customer.”

In a lively session on branding, Derry Green, Founder of Secret Garden Glamping, delivered one of the show’s standout messages, “When you think about the last holiday you went on, you’re not going to remember the colour of the curtains, you’re going to remember the little touchpoints that were well thought through.”

Joining him, Natalie Green, Head of Performance Media at Sykes, highlighted the power of authenticity, stating, “Trust is key. Having authenticity and having a real story behind your brand is what makes people connect.”

The Land Leisure and Tourism Show cemented its role as a go-to destination for operators looking to unlock new opportunities, understand emerging trends, and enhance their business performance.

Next year’s show will take place at the same venue in 2026, from 4 to 5 November.
