Filippi 1971 celebrates its 55th anniversary with eye on the future

Italian producer of materials and components for the mobile home industry, Filippi 1971, is celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2026, and using the milestone as an opportunity to look forwards into the future as well as backwards to the past.

The company says that from its very beginnings it has always been looking beyond materials, designing with vision, anticipating needs, and transforming experience into innovation.

It began life as an artisan business specialising in working with solid wood and experienced a period of solid growth throughout the 1980s and 1990s, expanding its network internationally.

In 2002, in response to changes in the markets, production was launched of melamine-faced panels for the motorhome-caravan sector, marking the beginning of a new industrial phase.

Today, Filippi 1971 is a structured and technologically advanced company with five production sites in the Imagna Valley near Bergamo in northern Italy.

In an official statement marking the anniversary, Filippi said: “We don’t simply produce materials, we create solutions designed to perform, evolve, and last over time. From technical panels to custom-made systems, our approach has always been driven by curiosity, research, and a future-oriented vision.

“Celebrating 55 years is not just about looking back, it’s about renewing our commitment to look ahead. Beyond today’s challenges. Beyond current limits. Toward new possibilities, built together.”

Today, Filippi has a presence in more than 25 different countries and is a reliable and trusted supplier to many companies across the recreational vehicle sector. It has six plating lines, 10 CNC machines and 13 pressing machines among its production facilities and also has a sales and logistics subsidiary in Melbourne, Australia.
