Italian materials and components manufacturer Filippi 1979 is placing a new emphasis on its range of wood panels designed for outdoor use and the mobile home and outdoor accommodation industry.
The company, which is based just north of Bergamo in Italy, has a strong reputation in the recreational vehicle, marine, and furniture industries, and is now expanding its expertise to cover components for the mobile home sector.
Filippi produces a full range of wood panels that are the culmination of decades of research and innovation, designed to strike the right balance between strength, lightness, and durability.
Within its range, the company offers high pressure laminate (HPL) panels that are made from multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with thermosetting resins, pressed at high temperature and pressure. These are best suited for flooring and cabinetry.
It also produces sandwich panels that are most suitable for construction and prefabrication, thanks to their construction of two rigid surfaces and a lightweight polystyrene core.
Another popular product in the Filippi 1971 range is its poplar plywood panels, made of cross-laid selected veneers, perfect for furniture and other lightweight constructions.
The company says that its current offering of wood panels, most of which are fully customisable, is perfect for a wide range of applications within the mobile home sector, including wall cladding, facades, outdoor flooring and decking, outdoor ceilings, partial coverings, screens, and outdoor partitions.
Alongside the classic plywood range, Filippi 1971 also offers lightweight, technical melamine-faced panels developed specifically for mobile homes.
