Outdoor tourism accommodation brand maeva, a brand of the Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Group, has announced it has completed the acquisition of French agritourism expert Parcel Tiny House.
Maeve, which has become a significant player in the outdoor accommodation sector since its foundation a decade ago, says that the integration of Parcel Tiny House into its business is part of ‘an ambitious diversification strategy’, with the aim of expanding its customer base.
Founded by Géraldine Boyer, Hervé Lafont, and Camille Fabre, Parcel Tiny House has created a strong network of agritourism destinations across France with around 40 tiny houses situated at around 30 farms across the country.
Since 2020, it has helped more than 15,000 travellers find unique, sustainable holidays in the countryside, yet close to major cities.
Nicolas Beaurain, Managing Director of maeva, said: “Géraldine has built a unique model with Parcel Tiny House: connecting two worlds that rarely intersect: holidaymakers and farmers. With Parcel, maeva is taking a new step forward in promoting and developing a form of tourism that nourishes travellers as much as it does the regions and those who welcome them. I am very happy that Géraldine and her teams are joining maeva to accompany us on this journey.”
Géraldine Boyer added: “Joining maeva means joining forces with a player that is perfectly in tune with our values. Together, we are amplifying our impact, accelerating the development of Parcel Tiny House and providing concrete support to farmers, in the service of meaningful tourism.”
The two companies aim to move forwards together with the ambition to help make tourism a business that supports local economies and promotes the regions it operates in.
