Deadline approaching for entries to FNHPA’s Sustainable Development Awards

Sustainable innovators in the open-air tourism industry are being reminded they have just one week left to enter the annual Sustainable Development Awards run by France’s Federation Nationale de L’Hotellerie de Plein Air (FNHPA).

This year will be the fourth consecutive year the awards programme has been run by the FNHPA, which seeks to recognise sustainable initiatives run by its members in themes such as preservation of biodiversity, landscape and urban planning, mobility, housing and construction, production and management of energy, adaptation to climate change, and responsible management of tourist flows.

Interested parties have until 30 June 2025 to enter their project or development for consideration by the jury, which is comprised of the President of the FNHPA, Presidents of its Communication and Sustainable Tourism Committees, a series of highly experienced journalists in the field, and representatives from organisations such as the Association of Sustainable Tourism Actors and Eco Mobil-Home.

Any initiative seeking to enter the awards must have shown a real impact on the environment of the member’s campsite and territory in 2024 or later and must be submitted to the FNHPA with a complete description and relevant photos and videos by the cut-off date mentioned above.

The winners of awards will be unveiled at the FNHPA National Congress, which takes place at the Salon Atlantica in Niort in Western France in October.
